maybe late, but I loved it, and loved the photographs. I keep imaginging the mother of the poster writer holding her tongue and letting it go as is, so darling. The flowers are of course perfection, as all your flowers are, and the child with the icecream cone if as you say, the epitome of summer. Thanks, Bar.

Thank you, Abby. I loved watching the little boy with the ice cream cone. He had trucks to play with too and there was ice cream everywhere. The mowing sign? Well, the mom is wonderful. Her boys are really nice kids. They seem to like talking to old people like me, which is really sweet. One of them has waist-length blonde hair that is to die for.

I love the mow your lawn sign! If I didn't already have a lawn, I'd put one in just to hire these kids. Just as a personal experience fair warning, do not hire any kids to pull weeks. I offered my kids one penny a weed, and they outdid themselves. I can't remember how much I owed, but it was a significant amount. Sorry to hear about your back - back to ground zero! xo

Back's better, Doris. Still tweaky and suddenly ucky when I least expect it, but better so I'm grateful. As for the neighbor boys, we're thinking about how we can give them some work. They're really too young to mow lawns anyway. No jobs are apparent yet, but we'll find some soon. The penny a weed idea sounds good, although I'm thinking a youngster would want a nickel or a dime these days!

Hi Bar… I love your photos of the flowers. Your garden must be gorgeous! Sorry to hear about your back! Hope you are up & about soon. The photo of the young boy eating ice cream reminded me of our 3 boys @ Bailey’s Dock side in Wolfeboro when my Dad took them into

town for ice cream! I just drove 21 hours w/Lulu to Flathead Lake, Montana where I will hang out for a few weeks exploring . Looking forward to seeing you next month in PA.😊

So sorry to hear that, Beth. Ice? Heat? Walking? My PT told me something I didn't know which is that when my back is how it has been this last couple of weeks, the muscles are over-stretched, which is to say, stop stretching so much! She wanted me to chill on the stretching to give my back time to recover. Never thought of it that way. Always thought if I could keep everything loose, all would be well. Walking seems to be the best thing to do. My friend Arthur tells me his doc said to walk slowly and if it hurts or twings, then slow down even more, but keep moving. Another thought...Hope you feel better very soon. xo
