I've told you this before, maybe you remember me saying, maybe not, either way, here it is again
I was on my side of the TV connection which was airing a memorial service for the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center. I remember your introduction and you standing up - having been seated among the other people in attendance. I remember your savvy haircut. It was a small church and the light shone in so beautifully that day. I do not remember a drone accompanying you, but I do remember your sweet voice and your song "Grace" was certainly the one you blessed us all with. I am sure there were countless others across the country tuning in right along with Me, watching and listening from Corvallis, Oregon. You, whom I did not know, singing in New York with TV cameras pointing your way and airing your image into my home. The song left and everlasting impression. I never suspected that I would meet you and we would become friends. It surprises me, that after such a long time, I am certain I recall this event. I am so glad we have met and thanks for giving us and me your gift. I remember, I will not forget, seeing you singing at that 9/11 memorial in that small church in New York at ground zero on my TV. You made a difference!
Dear Julie, This is amazing for all kinds of reasons, mostly that you saw it and remember it, but also because I think the broadcast you saw was taken in the pit at ground zero and it felt like a church! The hole was gigantic and empty and there was all kinds of energy down there that felt like an ancient church. It was twilight and we were the first civilians to go down there. i was singing for a group of Port Authority Police who had been leaders in the clean up and it was intense and powerful. One of the most powerful in my life. On the first anniversary of 9/11, I was sitting in my in-laws' apartment in Philadelphia when that film started on their TV. None of us knew it was coming and it was surreal to feel it all again. Thank you for listening, reading, and allowing all of it to move through you. It opens us up to experience these things, doesn't it? Thank you thank you
I knew your 9/11 memorial story. I did not know the Colony Cafe story in which you wondered "what it felt like for the audience." Today, I was in your audience, and I felt it all.
Wow. So powerful Bar. I wish I had been in the audience that evening. Your song Grace is just so beautiful and powerful. Such a gift for all of us to hear. Thx for sharing.
Thank you for sharing your morning Bar. Your evocative description and reverential singing of Grace are heart lifting. Isn't it funny how deeply held, cherished memories unexpectedly tug at our sleeve and then come flooding in. That little boy and his mom needed it. What a wonderful way to be pulled awake.
So right, Bill. It was a sweet way to wake up. So vivid and strong and there was so much love swarming around that room that night. Thank you for joining us there in this way that writing allows for us to.
After reading and listening, I felt the silence you wrote about. How do we heal? Sharing stories like these, uplifted by the words and voices and sitting in the silence. Thank you.
Thank you, Jackie. You're a love.
Wow.
And we are grateful for your voice and your songs.🙏🏽❤️
Ah Teddi, Thank you. So nice to hear that today.

This took my breath away. Sitting here without words, with silent tears.
Dear friend, In so many ways you were there with us, somehow, you were. Thank you.
