wise. I'm enjoying the memories, but the present is always where it's happening. I've been reaching out to old friends and grateful for the connections. Just fun to do after so much time. Good for me too. It's a source of love, which is always good. Thanks for the kudos, Rohn. Always grateful for that...obviously, I guess!

Thank you, Matt. It's a blast to sing along with myself. Have loved it since the first time I tried it forty-five years ago. It's like having a sister along with me in the studio. A sister's always better, but they're not always available.

My how sweet that is. Makes me look back at the oceanic romantic times I had that are no more.

Ah Becky, Thank you. I wrote this when I first met Brent. What a gift it was to feel alive again. And who knows, maybe you'll feel it again someday. In the meantime, enjoy the view! Some views are just as good.

Lovely Timothy story!!! Wouldn't we all like to have a mystery supporter!! Loved the song....thank you! I pictured the setting, one I've only felt a little bit in my wanderings, none as a home...Joining your friends in a circle to support you in your journey to your mother's going on to a different plane. Hugs.

That was simply beautiful, Bar. Full of so much feeling. Some of it wistful. Is that the right word for when we're looking back and missing someone? But also enjoying looking back, almost as if we're still there. Anyway, I loved it. And Timothy! What a gift.

Dear Abby, thank you. You were on my mind. As soon as I wrote, what comes next, I realized I was stealing your line. But it was the right line so I kept it. And your Chuck was on my mind too because of the lovely Chuck Elliot who periodically plays a song of mine on his show. It's still a thrill, always will be. Love from here.

It's not my line, I took it from the last lines of a Stephen Dobyns poem. Great great poem. I'll send it to you. God, what a voice you have.

One of my all-time favorite songs. Yes, to be recognized by someone who doesn't know me. How special to feel validated by someone you've never met. A stand-alone moment. I'll be giving some thought to "waiting for what comes next rather than planning."

Who knew, Doris? Maybe you've told me that before but it got lost in the sieve that is my mind. I'm glad you like it too. I love what Peter Tomlinson did with the accordion. I'd recorded the vocals and piano but couldn't see what to do next. He heard it clearly and changed everything. It's a waltz and it's always good to hear a song in 3/4. Thank you!

That's a good word for that song, Marti. And I love that word in any case. Thank you

One of the most interesting things about writing my blog is that sometimes someone tells me how much they enjoy or are helped by it - and I had no idea they were even reading it! When you put something out there - and I think you must if it is bubbling up out of your heart - you never know who and how it will effect. Very happy you have this relationship with Timothy, an affirmation that putting your art out there is important. xoxo

so right! And not just your art, right? Thank you for your thoughts too. They always speak to me. I'm near sighted too, on every level.
