As for songs taking time, dang! They sure do! I worked on the piano part for this new/old song of mine today and each little period of time I spend gets me closer to the environment I seem to be creating. I’m beginning to really get it that I don’t need long periods of time actually doing the work. What I need is time to let it evolve which often means moving away from it as soon as I feel tired or that I’m thinking too much. I love this phase, knowing it’s coming and feeling it come into being. Thrilling.
