Thank you, thank you so much for sharing this today, Bar. It’s amazing to see the brief footage taken from that night at Ground Zero. No words, indeed. Much love.
Sending a big thank you for letting us be with you on this amazing emotional heartfelt, sad performance, Bar!! I am continuously amazed at what you experience and how you put that to music. What a fine gift, that was huge, for so many. I am so glad you give us Forrest, and his little life on earth to us, commemorating him beautifully.Major congrats. Hugs, Caroline
Thank you, Caroline. I am so glad to share Forrest in the ways that I can. He was a bright light like all little kids are. And thank you for giving me audience for all these stories I have to tell. I'm wrestling with where to put them as I move into the twilight of my life (as it were) and it feels just right to share them as they come back to me. I hope it doesn't sound cheezy to say this, but without Forrest here, who else would I tell?
Thank you, Bar. I needed that - to be reminded that beauty is possible in the wake of tragedy and trauma. It was heartening to hear the voices of the first responders - their articulate soulfulness after months of recovering those who died. And of course, listening again... and again to your singing "Grace." A RARE GIFT. XO
Thank you, Doris, and thank you for nudging me to write about that again, and to find and share the video. Somewhere out there in the web-of-the-world is an actual video of the concert but it's hiding, maybe lost forever. In many ways, I think it's better for us when memory is what we rely on rather than video. Memory can evolve and go to a deeper truth, I think. In any case, what I remember about the concert is that I felt absolutely and completely supported by the audience and the band and the crew that took care of us. It was an incredible feeling. Thanks, as always, for reading and cheering me on.
you're welcome, Craig, and thank you. It was something else being down there. Intense, powerful, overwhelming, and also beautiful because so much love was there. It felt resolved is what I came to last night while I was going through it all again; like the first responders and volunteers had done their job fully. There were no ghosts is what I'm saying.

Thank you, Nicole. And thank you for just being there. It supports me in all kinds of ways, as you know. xoxo
