PS: Someone wrote this morning and asked why I hadn’t included “If There’s a Way” in my blog yesterday. That’s the song I mentioned that Malcolm Cecil mixed for me in 2014 with Tonto the giant synth in attendance. Truth is, it didn’t occur to me. But I love this song. I wrote it as my first marriage was ending, thinking about Forrest and the unknowns of the life I was heading into, one that I wasn’t sure would include singing for an audience anymore. It was an intense time for me, but it led to something else; something good. I hope it warms your heart.
Beautiful work as usual, Bar 🎶🫶🏽
“I would try to build a shelter without a border or walls” … this lyric… gosh, SO many resonances.
And I love being connected to someone with such a personal connection to music history.❤️
There's a way... Been there. / done that. The trick is to be open to unexpected portals or life rafts.
