Good morning, Fellow Humans,
It’s Earth Day and because it is, I’ve been looking forward to sharing a new song of mine called “Evelyne.” When I started writing it a couple of years ago, I thought I was writing to the Earth, apologizing for the neglect we humans have subjected her to, but while I was working on it, I kept singing the name Evelyne over and over again. When lyrics won’t go away, I have to figure out why. Eventually, I asked myself: what if Earth is singing to us and what if she calls us Evelyne.

Or you can listen to the song here:
Evelyne When you and I began I was still in bloom But your longing grew and wandered off with you Evelyne, come back to me When the winter moon fades away and turns to morning dew My ingenue, I’ll still be here for you Evelyne, come back for me Let’s start again Don’t let our story end Remember me when I was whole When all your dreams were mine to hold for you, Evelyne You and I were always meant to be Can’t you see? Your home is here with me Evelyne, come back to me and live Evelyne, Evelyne Earth Day, 2024 Bar: Vocals and Piano Dave Eggar: Cello Ashton Brown: Mix and Mastering Engineer
